Glover Co-ed softball Tournament Rules
1. 1 pitch – wooden bat – bats will be provided.
2. Each team will field 10 players 5 girls 5 guys. You may bat 6 girls and 6 guys. If you bat only 11 players the 11th must be a girl. Two (2) girls and (2) guys in the outfield and the same in the infield. If a guy pitches a girl must catch, etc.
3. 7 innings per game — if the game is tied after the 7th inning 1 girl and 1 guy will be removed from each team each inning until a winner has been determined.
4. 12 run mercy rule after 5 innings.
5. Players must slide on close plays. Failure to slide will be an out at the umpire’s discretion.
6. The winning team must leave behind 2 players to umpire the next game.
7. Final game will be officiated by organizers or GREC members.
8. Coin flip will determine home \ visitor. Winner’s bracket is home through out championship games.
9. If any player is asked to leave for inappropriate behavior his or her team will forfeit the tournament without refund.
10. Games will begin @ 9am
11. All teams must be ready to play 30min prior to scheduled game times.
12. Courtesy runners are permitted. must be the last out of the previous inning of the player of the same sex.
13. Final team from the loser’s bracket must win twice to win tournament.
14. Each team will provide the pitcher for their team. It must be a player from the team’s line up. Pitching pitcher may not field the ball or interfere in the play.
15. Three (3) home runs per team per game. any home runs after that will be an out. The runners may not advance.
16. NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED ON THE PLAYING FIELD.
